Fantasically wild and beautiful, a terrific story about youth anticipating changes coming to Jutland and struggling with their elders' indifference to impending events. Told intimately in the first person.
I listened to this on Audio CD. Despite the rave reviews that it has received, I could not get past the end of the second CD, Although well written, the story moved along too slowly for me. I couldn't generate enough interest in the characters to continue.
