Well worth reading, especially for "horse people", but written with enough heart and insight that it's also a good read for the horseless!

Amazing that just being good and kind can make a horse change his mind to choose the kindness of man rather than the freedom of the wild.

the "Horse Whisperer" tells the true story of a horse he brought in from the wild. The story follows through to the point Shy Boy is returned to the wild and free to now make his decision to return to the Mustang herd or remain with Monty.

Such a fantastic read. If you love horses or love animals you will enjoy this true story about Shy Boy. To be very honest i almost did not make it thru the story as i cried my eyes out (i am extremely emotional when it comes to animals of all kinds). It is a touching story of a wild mustang whom the author befriends and takes home, bonds with and loves, then decides it may be time to see if he would be happier free again. There are lots of beautiful color pictures so you can see the magnificent animal Shy Boy as God has created him. I loved this story, enough that it is hard to part with the book, but i just can't keep them all. This book was written for sharing with the world.
I had seen the PBS documentary. It was nice to have the book to read to get more detail. This is also a nice book to just go through looking at all the lovely photos.
