This one goes on my 'worst ever' list!

It makes no nonsense whatsoever! I couldn't make it to page 100 and that's my limit anyway for a book to grab me and this one is terrible in every way you can think!

The chapters about Gaff are just stupid and the writing is awful, trying some kind of 'speak' that you just get frustrated trying to decipher!

I love the "Jack Daniels" series but this one was so disappointing. An interesting take on gun control, laws, gun shows, active shooters, & the debate between guns or no guns. Jack, Phin, Sam, & Jack's mom are all in Florida under assumed names. Jack is still in a wheelchair from being shot in the last book. In this book she's whiny, paranoid, & completely un-Jack-like. She's in physical therapy and has lost faith in herself and her family and has basically cut herself off from friends. The book changes from chapter to chapter from Jack & then to the shooter (Gaff). I had a hard time reading the Gaff chapters because it was a "plural" person who speaks in slang & hashtags (example: Yeet LOL 4realz?) I started skimming those chapters. If people I knew actually talked like that I would slap them across the face. The book comes together at the end but still wasn't worth reading. Very minimal Harry, Herb, & Phin. The Cowboy gets a chapter at the end so I'm looking forward to the next book to wash this one away.
