Finally! A new Becky book that didn't make me want to smack her. In this installment, she's pregnant and she could be going totally nuts and very far into debt, but there was a restraint in the character that felt so much better for me. Yes, she still loves to shop and she buys unnecessary items, but there are a few minor changes in her that allowed me to like Becky more than ever. She even enters a competition with Luke to see who can add more to the baby's trust fund! Much better than when she took Manhattan and tied the knot. :)

Sophie Kinsella does it again, with a peek into the live of Becky Bloomberg, now married to Luke and expecting. I'm always surprised at how likable and even lovable Becky is, when her persona is developed as, well, a materialistic shopaholic. The story starts with Becky's new department store under a dark cloud of bad luck and publicity; Luke's company taking off but with a demanding new client; Becky catching wind of a new primo obstetrician to the stars; and a househunt. Bex is in her element, and it's a fun read as always.

This book is last in a series of hilarious book in the Shopaholic series... Each story does stand alone, but are better when read in order... Be prepared to laugh and be shocked- there are many twists in the stories.

Becky is pregnant and now is shopping for two! (sorry, I couldn't resist saying that...I don't think I came up with that, it might be on the back cover, but that's now at the library so I honestly don't know...anyway...moving on). Becky feels that she's now cured of compulsively shopping for herself, but instead finds herself compulsively shopping for her baby (justifying it by the fact that she doesn't want to deprive the baby). So Baby Bloomwood will come into the world with multiple cribs and prams and the best celebrity baby-doctor. However, the problems begin when Becky learns that her new doctor is Luke's ex-girlfriend...who possibly still has feelings for him.

Although it's great to see what happens with the Shopaholic gang, I feel that this was the least memorable of the series. In all of the other books, I can clearly remember specific instances from the book, but that's not the case with this one. I guess that might come with the fact that the series has run its course (though if Sophie Kinsella writes another for this series, I hope it has some of the magic of the earlier books).

I have enjoyed all of the Becky books and this one didn't disappoint at all. Great fun and a quick paced book. You can't miss with a Sophie Kinsella book!

Sophie Kinsella does it again! Her protagonist, Becky (Bloomwood) Brandon, is the literary equivalent of Lucille Balls Lucy Ricardo. Shes just as lovable and full of hilarious antics. You cant help but root for Becky no matter how sticky the situation.

In this novel, Becky is pregnant and she demands the care of the top obstetrician into London (the one all the local fashion models see). As it turns out, the doctor happens to be her husband Lukes ex-girlfriend. To make matters more complex, Becky and Luke have been house hunting, and in the meantime found new renters for their apartment. The only problem is, they havent exactly found their dream house and will have no where to live by the time the baby is born.

Plus, in this novel, Becky is shopping for two!

I recommend the whole Shopaholic Series for a quick, fun read. Becky always seems to find the most surprising solutions to her troubles.

Ok, I started to get annoyed with becky this time around because she just seemed so shallow, but then I took a look at Luke and thought he is just being too mean this time. But the end wraps up nicely and there are some good laughs along the way. For me if a book doesn't wrap you up in the characters some way it is flawed, so I rate this a 4 star and look forward the next in the series.
