One of the "must read" books (along with the other two books in the trilogy). Morris West tackles a massive undertaking in trying to uncover the world of the Vatican. He succeeds wonderfully. Whatever you religious affiliation, even if you have none, you need to read this book to understand more of the most powerful and influential forces in the world.
