I was lucky enough to receive an advanced copy of this book from the author. I wanted an advanced copy after I read the synopsis..."Julianne used to believe in fairy tales; she's been watching for Prince Charming to come charging in on his white steed ever since the day her mother read her Cinderella for the first time. But she's never come close to finding the perfect man-instead she's always tripping over her childhood best friend, Will." Every girl searches for her "perfect love story!" Since the time we are born, our parents read us countless love stories such as Cinderella, Snow White, and Beauty and the Beast to name a few. We go on date after date, both good and bad, and search for the one perfect guy... and sometimes he is right in front of us.
Julianne, our key character, has everything. She has a perfect job, wonderful friends, and great mother. The only thing she is missing in her fairy tale is love. Throughout the book, we join her journey in search of her perfect love story. And boy is she looking...
Sandra Bricker is an amazing author. During the course of the book, Julianne was so real in Bricker's writing, that I pictured myself as her. I was able to put myself in Julianne's shoes. I had such empathy and passion for this character that it wasn't hard to feel what she was feeling. I would recommend this book to everyone and give it five stars up!! Sandra Bricker is the perfect christian chick-lit author. I would even recommend this book to my non-christian friends. Everyone read this book!!!

Sarah - May 16, 2013About the book: Julianne starts looking for her prince charming since she was a little girl. She also struggles with the pressure of dealing with everything being thrown at her. And trying to prove that she can handle love. She grew up with the boy next store, and Will and her decided to open up their own Law firm. On the way to court one day she just misses and accident and she believes she has now found her prince Charming. When she tries to follow him to find out who he is disappears and all she finds is a work boot on the side of the road. So she sets out to find who he is and sets her mind that this is the "prince" God has for her. But what she doesn't realize is her "prince" is right in front of her face but she is to stubborn to prove a point to see it. Julianne is on a collision course with God's perfect plan for her life...if only she could open her eyes and see it before it's too late. Go on this journey with Julianne and Will and their funny bunch of Friends and Family and you will not regret it. My thoughts:This author has always done an amazing job with her books and this one is no less different as she holds you till the end. At no point do you feel like on no here is another story same story line with just different names. Sandie Bricker has kept it real and you can see this can happen in real life. This is a book you will not regret reading or buying this book. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!!

Sandra Bricker kicks off a new romantic comedy contemporary series based on classic fairy tales. If the Show Fits, based on Cinderella, tells the humorous story of a modern-day Cinderella waiting for her prince.

In If the Show Fits, on the very day Julianne opens a law firm with her childhood friend, Will, she sees a handsome stranger rescue a dog from the middle of a busy intersection. As he carries the dog off, with his long coat flowing out behind him, she is captivated by his physical beauty and love for animals. When she looks again, he is gone. Then she notices that his tool box and his work boot fall out of his truck. Julianne takes it as a sign that she has seen her Prince Charming. She tracks him down to return the items, but is he as charming as she dreams? She thinks she has found her prince, but more she gets to know him, the less charming he seems to be.

Julianne wants Gods plan for her life but will she recognize it before it is too late? For this Cinderella, the shoe (boot) is on the other foot she is looking for her prince, not the other way around. How hard should she work to make things fit? Cinderella (Julianne) has her ball and eventually her prince, but not before facing challenges in finding her happy ending.

Bricker writes her trademark humor in this laugh-out loud story where Cinderella doesnt recognize Gods plan for her. With witty narrative and likeable primary and secondary characters, Bricker strikes just the right balance to bring a twist to this contemporary fairy tale. The Christian elements are light, not preachy. Its humor and romance are clean, not unlike the old black-and-white romantic comedies featuring ones favorite actors.

In this story Julianne thinks she has found her Prince Charming when she sees him rescuing a dog in the middle of the road. But, when she tracks him down and gets to know him,..she faces some challenges and begins to wonder if he really could be her Prince.
As Julianne gets used to her new Law Offices with her best friend Will,..(and as they start dating other people,....) will she realize that Will has more than just "friendship" feelings towards her?
With this books well developed characters and funny situations, - I really enjoyed this story of a modern day Fairy Tale!

I received an advanced copy for my honest review.

I was lucky to get an advanced copy and I loved this book! The characters have depth and are relatable. It's not just the fairy tale updated. It has its own storyline influenced by the fairy tale. We all know that romances have happy endings, but how the characters get there is what I love about this book.

The love sorry aside, I appreciate that the main characters are lawyers but are shown with integrity even when representing an unsavory character. Also, it shows them having real lives with real problems. Thanks for giving me a read that shows lawyers can be good at what they do and be good people too.

Back to the love story, it was fantastic! I will for sure be a re-read for me. Love the writing style: easy to read without being juvenile. It's witty, funny, and engaging. Read it and you will love it too!

IF THE SHOE FITS is a funny romantic comedy that was LOL at times. Julianne is a over-the-top drama queen, high maintenance, Elle Woods type lawyer/animal rights activist/fashion diva... and then she meets Prince Charming. He is rescuing a dog from the middle of the road in the rain and drops his tool box and a boot...

Julieanna's detective skills are top-notch and she tracks him down, asks him out and then proceeds to make a major idiot out of herself over a man (and I'm sure most of us will relate to that, we all - well, maybe some of us - have that one man that we went la-la over and wish we never would've met him later. Yeah, that guy.)

I mostly enjoyed the story. The sexual tension between Will and Julianna was in the negative range. The over-the-top drama was off the charts high. And I'm not going to say I loved it. I didn't. But I didn't dislike it either.

Just got done reading If The Shoe Fits by Sandra Bricker. What a hoot! I am giving this 5 stars because I loved it!

The whole premise of the book is based on Cinderella. A woman who is waiting for Prince Charming to appear on his white horse, except she doesn't like horses so a motorcycle would work too:) Julianne has just opened a law firm with her best friend, William. He has been in love with her for years but never broached the subject because she thinks of him as a brother or best pal. When she falls for this hunky handsome construction worker who is rescuing a dog from the road, Will doesn't know what to do. Julie, or Jules as Will calls her, feels like her life is perfect when Paul Weaver asks her out to eat. But sometimes the things we think we want, aren't always what we need.

This book is totally laugh-out-loud with some precious sweet moments intermingled. You see Julie working so hard to find what she wants and yet the best thing for her is right there in front of her. I fell in love with Will from the moment I met him and on through the rest of the story. His gentle manner in taking care of Jules, the way he moved to be back with his dad in a time of need, and even the way he responds to the snooty Lacey. He is really one who sees the good in people and I know someone like this in real life. Really reminded me of this person a lot! And his dad and her mom are a trip as well. With funny southern sayings, Amanda will wing her way right into your heart, and into Davis's heart as well:) There will be plenty of laughs and even some tears maybe as you see how Julianne takes care of Pheobe, her assistant who is anything but. Some jail lockups, piglet shootings an much more will give you entertainment while teaching lessons.

Wonderful book from Sandra Bricker and I can't wait for a next book! Maybe even one about Lacey? Or Alec and Allison? This is a book you can give as a gift or pass around a book club. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

I was given a copy of this book for review purposes. All thoughts are 100% mine.
