"Men are hounds. We think nothing of dating someone who just broke up with our best friend. I once asked a friend if I could date his ex. He said, "Don't you recalll me telling you about her chasing me through the parking lot with a butcher knife?"

"Yeah," I said, "but she's really good looking."

This is a perfect little book to keep with you to read when you have to wait.... airplane, doctor's office, DMV.... This is easy to read, funny, and you can share the jokes with others around you.

This is one of those books you will either love or hate.

This book is a series of anecdotes, supposedly from throughout Jeff Foxworthys life. Reading through these stories is like talking with a fisherman. While you suspect what you are being told is not entirely accurate, there seems to be a ring of truth to it.

The book is filled with stories from throughout Jeffs life from childhood to adulthood. Various topics are discussed such as work life, love, marriage, fishing, hunting, and family. Most stories were worth a smile. Some made me laugh out loud. Then there were a handful of stories that were 2 minutes of my life that were wasted and I will never get back.

So how do you know if this book is right for you? Do you find Jeff Foxworthys stand-up funny? Would you read a story about a guy jumping off the back of a pickup into a pile of hay and think Yeah, we have done something like that? Do you actually know someone who has shot a deer from the inside of their house? If you have heard stories such as this, you will probably like this book.

Having spent half my childhood in the country, I identified with many of the stories, even if I do think they are not exactly the truth. The book was an easy read. As the book was comprised of stories no longer than a page or two in length, it was a great book to read while waiting for the kids at school or anyplace you have a few minutes to crack open a book and read. Overall, I found the book quite enjoyable.
