It's not easy being a vampire-hunting witch, but Sarah Tigress Vida has learned from the best. The witches of the Vida family line have been successfully stalking and staking the undead for centuries, and Sarah is immensely proud of her ancestry. So, the last thing she would ever do is befriend one of the enemy. She has always faithfully followed the golden Vida rule of vampire hunting: "Knowing your prey can cause hesitation, and when one is a vampire hunter, hesitation ends in death." Then she meets artistic, sweet Christopher. A benign vampire, Christopher lives off of animal blood or the blood of willing human donors, and begins to gently woo Sarah with his poetry and drawings. Completely against her slayer instincts, Sarah reluctantly begins to care for Christopher... until she discovers that his twin is the vampire Nikolas, infamous for his habit of carving his name into the flesh of his victims. Sarah has always sworn to be the Vida to take Nikolas out, but her feelings for Christopher have allowed her to hesitate--a hesitation that may cost her not only her family's sterling reputation, but her mortal soul.
With Shattered Mirror, wildly popular teen author Amelia Atwater-Rhodes continues to effectively tap the vein of universal adolescent fascination with all things brooding and blood-sucking. Ardent fans will be pleased to see the return of characters from the author's previous books, like healer witch Caryn Smoke. After the events related in Demon in My View, high school angst among humans and vampires continues. This should be a manga -- the vampires are all pretty, especially the boys.
This one was my least favorite of Atwater-Rhodes's. I usually love her writing and her stories, but this one just was not a good one in my opinion.

Awesome book! I finished it in about 2 days, it was so good!
very good, one of her best.
Sarah is the daughter of a powerful vampire hunter. And that is why she is upset to find there are two vampires in her new school. Things only get worse when she begins to care for them.
When she finds them at a bash and they admit what they are...even though she knew all along, she knows she is going to have to make them leave her alone.
When Sarah picks the wrong fight and loses she is intent on killing Nickols. But that is easier said then done. And if Sarah makes another mistake it could change things forever...
Personally i thought this was the best vampire/vampire hunter book ever! It had lots of action and the characters i really loved. Even the "bad" one. There was even some romance and mystery.
Great!!

Great!!
This was the first book by Atwater-Rhodes that I had ever read. I was little unsure since it was written by a teenager. In the end though, I was both pleasantly surprised and in awe at the success of the story. This was a mix reality (boring things like school) with a dash of fantasy (vampires and the like) spiked with a healthy dose of forbidden romance.

In her 3rd novel, you can really see how her writing abilities improved as she got older/more experienced. Its more in depth than her previous 2 novels and has better developed characters. It is a good book but not my favorite of her work.

Twin brothers that would do anything to help the other and a vampire hunter who has fallen in love with a vampire, could you ask for a better storyline? Shattered Mirror keeps its readers captivated while also making you see that not everything is as it seems.
This was a really good book. It moved kind of slow in places, but I couldn't put it down. The ending was unexpected and left me wanting to read the next one. I am patiently waiting for the next book to come out.
