I haven't read this author in awhile but glad I read this book. The story had you turning pages quickly to find out more about what was going on with Lisa. The excitement builds even more towards the end. Looking forward to reading more books by this author.

I enjoyed this story about Lisa Grant a research assistant to the DA in her home town. She has a mother who is ill, a estranged father, she is working for a childhood friend that she always drove crazy, and is dating the rich son of one of her father's friends. She is assigned to cold cases in the basement of the law firm where she is temporaily working and discovers that a family of 4 went missing when she was a child and becomes interested in this case. Because of her interest bad thing start happening to her family so she confides in her boss and they began looking into this case along with a group of misfit teenagers that need something to do.

This was a fast read and like I said at the beginning the plot was interesting. I would recommend this book.

After losing her job and moving home to care for her invalid mother, Lisa Grant takes a job as a research assistant to District Attorney Scott Buchanan. While organizing cold-case files, Lisa sees a photo of a family who disappeared without a trace 30 years ago. The file draws her attention when she notices that the mother in the photo looks exactly like herself. Soon Lisa is digging into the case, trying to find out more information about the missing Garcia family. But someone doesn't want the truth to come out and will do anything to stop Lisa from finding out the truth.

This is a romantic suspense story that I found interesting. I liked the romance portion of the book, but thought the suspense could have used a little more work. I figured out the big secret long before either Lisa or Scott, but it was still worth reading. My rating: 4 Stars.
