A Western--the book categories don't contain that so i put it under mysteries--even though it is more of a Western. A good, classic read.

This is a really good story about a man and a boy who loves him. It is about dignity and things that are hard to decide.

This is an excellent western book that everyone from 12 to 112 can enjoy. It's set in early 20th century Wyoming and tells the story of a stranger named Shane who passes through a small town. He is seeking peace and redemption from his past and his sense of honor, dignity and justice are conveyed through out the novel. Of course, trouble follows and the quick paced action and exciting read will keep you on your toes. This was a "can't put down" novel for this reviewer, whose prefered genre is usually science fiction. Because it's a short novel it would be great on a summer reading list for teens or to take to the beach. It's highly recommended.
