I do not think this book deserves the bad reviews I have read on other websites. The pacing is a bit slow as the story slowly unfolds. I probably would have enjoyed it much more had I read it in late winter due to the slow pacing and arctic setting in which the story takes place. While this is not one of my favorite books, it is still worth reading and I would recommend it to anyone interested in light mystery, police procedural, and/or Inuit culture.
