I made the mistake of reading this book at my lunch breaks while at work. So 20-25min of reading a couple of times a week, until I finished. That was a very choppy way to read and the storyline in this book needs undivided attention. Maybe 3-5 long reading sessions, the less the better. The flow would be better.
That being said, this book just didn't draw me in. I hate Barrick, Briony comes across as either a selfish bitch or a naive child and everybody else just stumbles around acting like chickens with their heads cut off.
It IS a good story, I just am not liking the main characters.
