Jo Ann Mapson has created some wonderful characters that will make you laugh and cry - Bop, the grandfather with too much money and no one to share it with; his granddaughter Lanie and her sad existence. She weaves their stories, their loves and losses into a wonderful story of a dysfunctional family that finds its function. IT is one of those books that I read over and over.
