Courageous and heroic effort by a small group of men whose tale has been overshadowed by Shackleton's exploits on the other side of the Continent. Their 199 day journey on the ice was made to secure caches of support for Shackleton was a triumph although their sacrifice was unnecessary success as things turned out. The supplies were not used. An inspiring story of duty and heroism that should be remembered.
