Very funny adventure story about an evil plot to destroy humanity. Six of the seven professors of the title are good guys, but the seventh disappeared years ago under sinister circumstances, and has only just reappeared--in time to kidnap his six former colleagues! Now Zara and Ben (great-niece and great-nephew of Professor #1, wacky inventor Alexander Ampersand) and their new friend Ben are the only people who can save Professors Ampersand, Gauntraker, Sharpe, Gadling, Hartleigh-Broadbeam and Pottle (and the world) from the villainously brilliant Professor Murdo! Can they reach the remote Arctic island of Nordbergan in time to rescue humanity? Can they reach it at all? What can three kids do against an evil genius who's been plotting since before they were born, even if they can get there?
