This is a wonderful excursion into the botanical world with a horticultural historian. Potter gives you a detailed history of seven selected flowers and what they represent throughout history and in story. Everything you ever wanted to know about these seven flowers is included here. There are lovely color plates of the plants and blossoms. It was a fascinating read for me, as an avid gardener. If you love flowers and their backgrounds, you'll enjoy this book.
