So...I'm a little upset this didn't meet my expectations, and
I'll admit it, I read this (and her previous book, Crash into Me) because she was mentioned in RT magazine. The title was initially what stole my attention, but alas, it's pretty much the best part of the book.

Set the Dark on Fire wasn't bad mind you, but it wasn't all that great either. And it's more contemporary romance then romantic suspense (which in itself was a letdown).

The characters come off more realistic then other authors manage to pull off, though it doesn't really make me like them all that much, at least not until the end of the book, where I disliked them a little less. Although watching the Hero progress from a snotty jerk, to a little less snotty and less jerky hero was interesting, it wasn't enough to make me want to keep this one.

Also I find it hard to believe teenagers are this self aware.

Also (And I know I'm going to sound a bit of an ageist here but) reading about high-schoolers having sex, isn't something I enjoy. JS did this in her last book as well, and while I don't deny teens have sex, I'm not interested in reading about it.
And I have to admit, (And I know I've already said it once but) I seriously find it hard to believe that teenagers are as self aware as they seem to be in this book.

So, an okay book if you're bored and out of options, but not necessarily worth a whole credit.
