Good medieval romance.
Lady Joanna has seen how merciless men can be and she has no desire for one in her life. But when outlaws raid her land, terrorizing her daughter and the villagers, she realizes she can't handle this alone. Yet if it is a man she must have, then let it b one she can control and mercenary who will restore the peace then be on his way. Logan Grimm is, by reputation, the most fearsome warrior in the kingdom. His prowess with a sword is legendary, his loyalty to the one who pays him unquestioned. Yet when Grimm strides into her manor, his shoulders brouad enought ot bear any burden, his eyes as dark as midnight, Joanna fears she's made a terrible mistake. For while this dangerous man is defeating her enemies, who prey tell will be safeguarding her heart.
A nice romance.
Lady Joanna must rule the manor after her husband's death, and protect the villagers from thieves who are harrassing the village. She will not marry again, as several of her dependents advise, and decides to send for an infamous mercenary to deal with the thieves. A husband would be a lifelong endurance she didn't mean to repeat, but a mercenary would be gone as soon as the job was done. Wouldn't he....?
fantastic read though I have read it before it was a pleasure and joy to read it again I read so much the last 16 months since retirement I cannot remember them all till I get back into them though I knew how it would end I was not sure how it got there but it was a pleasant read and very delightful
Wonderful book with a strong women character that has alot of heart. It has excellent historical information and descriptions. You get a great sense of the situation and places. Lots of sexual tension and sparing which was so fun to see going on between the main characters. Excellent plot, storyline moves along nicely no boring parts. A great read.
