Maya and Roe, two friends thrown together as social outsiders at their boarding school, do a convincing job of self-destructive navel-gazing on school property. Unfortunately, poor parenting on Maya's side, as well as a wrong side of the tracks legacy for Roe, contributes to their parade of bad choices and acting out (inappropriate relationships with men, courting dangerous situations, running away from home/places they claim to want to be). A tedious narrative leading the audience back to the original questions posited by the duo.
