I very much enjoyed Ms. Phillips' older books, but the ones lately have not appealed as much.
This one gives me hope for the series. It was comfortable yet fun from the beginning. Just a good, fun read. Looking forward to the next two in the series.

Awesome story. Wonderful characters in a very well written, down to earth story. I recommend anything by Carly Phillips. Her writing style is awesome. The story will keep your interest and make you laugh. There is passion, love, understanding and much more in this book. Can't wait for the next two in this series!

Serendipity was a good book from start to finish. Ethan is a character who returns home to "Serendipity" looking for redemption. Faith is the girl who got away, the princess who lived in the house on the hill and had everything Ethan didn't have. Now the tables have turned and Ethan is rich and successful while Faith's father is in jail after pulling a Ponzi scheme and losing everything. When Ethan hires Faith to decorate his new house (the house she grew up in that her father lost to bankruptcy), sparks fly. I love the emotional depth of the characters and the back story. I didn't like the character of Kelly. It really annoyed me the way she dropped off Ethan's surprise half sibling without even checking Ethan's background or knowing what he was like. It was heartless and utterly ridiculous. Despite this plot twist the book was great.

This book for me was alright. It was kind of predictable & sometimes the author got the timeline wrong. It's a quick read and I am interested in the ending of the series, so I am glad that I read it.

Refreshing romance from Carly Phillips. A new series begins in the town of Serendipity. Romance between two high school "almost lovers" continues in adulthood and the problems that arise. Good storyline. Next installment sadly not until 2012.

Fun book. Very much like her others, but I like the way she writes.

This was a quick, fun read. The characters were interesting with a nice back story. I have to say that I have read the same back story before but I can't seem to remember if Phillips introduced Faith and Ethan in another story or if I actually read the exact same thing from a different author.

Ethan and Faith were a good combination. Sweet seemed to be a better word to describe them rather than steamy. It's odd because Phillips version of "risque" activities in the bedroom was really tame. It was definitely enjoyable to read about their blossoming relationship.

This was the first of three stories focused on three brothers. Ethan was the oldest and wanted to reconnect with the brothers he abandoned to foster car after their parents died. The next two installments will be about Nash and Dare (not his real name).

Insterested to read the next installment since it will be about Nash (the unforgiving brother) and Kelly (might have gotten her name wrong, Tess's half sister). I wonder how Phillips will make Kelly likeable since here she wasn't exactly the best. She did just dump her half sister into Ethan's lap without a warning or background check. For all she knew, he could have been a child molestor.

Overall it was pretty good. Nothing amazing but enough to pass the time.
