A deck of tarot cards found in a sepulchre tie two worlds together in this intriguing story. The cards are said to be the key to releasing unfathomable horrors and the one girl who believes in the "myth" is also the target of a madman out to get her brother.

Another great book by Kate Mosse. Loved it. It was read by my favorite narrator, Donada Peters. She is wonderful at bringing the characters to life.

The storyline of this book is original, with the plot bouncing back and forth between time periods. Unfortunately, Kate Mosse spends so much time on the back story and excruciating details, that the characters are never fully developed.

This unabridged audio is 16 cd's long, and the story would have been much better had it been about 1/3 shorter.

If you like stories similar to The DaVinci Code, you will ike this. However, like Dan Brown, this story takes way too long to develop.

First book by this author for me. It was very good. I look forward to more from her.

I would have prefered an abridged version. The story is interesting but not engrossing. The narrator has an engaging voice but the terrible habit of portraying American characters with a drawn out "r" that is very aggravating. Mildly interesting at most.

I have a long commute and enjoy a lenghthy audio for the ride. I would listen to this story while driving, then I found myself sitting in my driveway and listening a little further, until the end of the chapter with this story!! I really loved the characters. I loved the imagery and the way the author made you feel like you were taking part in both time periods. Very suspenseful too!
