1.5 stars. What to say about this book....I only finished it because: a) I invested too much time thinking I would like it to give up, and b) I RARELY do not finish a book. Disappointed in it. A 40 something wife/mother with a 'tween son and a somewhat husband (they're kinda separated but still cohabiting due to lack of funds to legally separate). She wrote a successful children's book and then hit writer's block. Her husband suffers from extreme anxiety and is under employed working as a "snack consultant". Finances are an issue. So to ease HER anxiety she begins wearing the family dog in a baby sling to calm herself. Their experiences and her take on life were weird and tiring to listen to. Not for me.

The overall story was interesting. The writing did not flow and sometimes there was too much and other times not enough.
