A nice collection of Emerson's works which I kept in the bathroom for a little heavy reading. From "Essays"(1841): History, Self-Reliance, Friendship, The Over-soul; from "Essays: Second Series"(1844): The Poet, Experience; and finally, his Divinity School Address (which alone was worth the purchase of the book!).
