Ever since finding 'Arthur Spiderwick's Field Guide to the Fantasical World Around You,' the Grace children have been getting into a lot of trouble. In this book Simon's cat Tibbs goes missing, along with several other animals, Thimbletack warns Jared of goblins in the wood, the goblins grab Simon, Thimbletack gives Jared a strange eyepiece in order to help him find Simon, Mallory finally gets to put her rapier to good use, Jared and Mallory discover a sprite and a troll, Jared makes a deal with Hogsqueal, a cat-loving goblin, in order to rescue Simon, and, alas, Simon and the other animals are rescued and Simon brings home a griffin for a pet. I love this fantastical series and can't wait to find out what else awaits the Grace children!

This is another fun book in the series that I think is a fun, quick read no matter what your age is. The kid in me always loves a book that has delightful drawings in it like this one does.

My 7-year-old is loving this series! She's reading through each book in about a week and looking all around for evidence of magical creatures.
