I think this is one of the first books I ever read by Joy Fielding. It was soooo good, I was hooked from the start. I couldn't stop reading it. Now I want to read anything that has her name on it!

Jane doesn't know her name, her age or even what she looks like. She wonders the streets of Boston wearing a blood-soaked dress--and carrying $10,000 in her pocket. I couldn't put this book down. Very suspenseful.

Most excellent book. Loved it from beginning to end!
AWAYS A WINNER.
good book. will be reading more by this author..
This book was riveting the first time I read it and it remains one of the best books I've had the pleasure to read. It is somewhat dated (no cell phones, etc.) but if you consider the times, it is still a fast-paced, absorbing nail-biter!
I didn't read it, my sister did, but she told me not to bother.too scary.
Even though there are no murders in this book it is still full of suspense.
Loved this book. I could not put it down. I am getting more of this author for sure!
One afternoon in late spring, Jane went to the store for some milk and some eggs and forgot who she was. Love Fieldings novels.
Great book! She always gives us a twist at the end and this one is no exception. I highly recommend it and any by her.
This is a wonderful book, full of twists and you'll never believe the ending! Awesome!
Finely tuned and convincing, Fielding's ( Kiss Mommy Goodbye ) latest novel of romantic suspense opens on a chilling note: Boston housewife Jane Whittaker finds herself on a downtown street, her pockets stuffed with a large number of crisp $100 bills, the front of her dress soaked with blood. She has no idea of her identity. Though shaken and terrified, she proceeds with logic. After 24 hours of shrewd calculation, she finds a policeman and is taken to a hospital for tests. By chance, she is reunited there with her husband, Michael, a prominent pediatric surgeon. Caring and supportive, Michael feels that Jane will regain her memory soon. He assures Jane that their seven-year-old daughter is staying with his parents and that she must accept the ministrations of their solicitous housekeeper, Paula. But the atmosphere is ominous: Michael has unexplained stitches on his forehead; Jane feels constantly drugged; Paula refuses to let Jane see her friends. Increasingly uneasy, Jane flees, but is soon found by Michael and a new cycle of terror begins. Fielding handles her material with finesse; suspense is maintained at a high level, and the narrative is enriched by Jane's bracing sense of humor and a cast of sharply drawn, articulate characters. Literary Guild main selection; movie option to Pathe Studios.

Very interesting read. It kept me going until I was finished. The first I have read by this author and I wouldn't mind reading more.
This is a good writer... enjoyed the book
Jane doesn't remember who she is or why she has amnesia, but little by little as she regains her memories, things aren't adding up. I loved this book. One of my favorite novels. Terrific reading.
Ok read...start slow...good finish
Excellent! I kept turning the pages eager to read more! I just couldn't put the book down! Highly recommend!
Great vacation read! This book grabs you from the first paragraph! I don't want to give anything away, but I will say that Fielding does a masterful job of describing a narcissistic sociopath. The reader will wonder, along with the protagonist, Jane, whether or not she has truly lost her mind. But, in this book, nothing is as it seems. The book plays with your emotions - gives you hope, only to dash it on the next page, then give you some again.
At times, I was frustrated with Jane's continued questioning of her sanity and felt as if "enough is enough!", but the ending is well worth the wait to get there. Lots of little clues throughout the book that you may pick up as you're reading or will definitely recognize at the end.
I look forward to reading more of Fielding's books.
