Author: Cecelia Ahern
Elizabeth Egan's life runs on order: Both her home and her emotions are arranged just so, with little room for spontaneity. When I started this book out, I thought it was going to be sort of silly and foolish, like a child's book, but as I read, I became more and more into this book and I couldn't stop reading! This book is quite great!!! It's about an imaginary friend and how it changes this one girl's life forever and in return, changed his life forever as well. It teaches you to believe and open your mind about everything in life. Just a great book.

Didn't think I would like this but found it to be an enjoyable read. Walt Disney Pictures has bought the rights to this novel. Interestingly enough, this author is the twenty-four year old daughter of Ireland's prime minister.

Not my favorite Ahern, but she always has a way of making you care about her characters.

A very thoughtful romp in a small town in Ireland. She is the older sister, the responsible one. She saw what her mother's flirty ways did to her father and the family, so she vowed never to be like that. Then her sister's son, who she is taking care of, has custody of, has an invisible friend. She tries to humor him, like all the experts say you should... then she meets who she thinks is the father of one of his friends... it is really his imaginary friend. He teachs her how to play and how to laugh, most importantly how to look back on her life and open some doors that have remained closed for too many years.

You would laugh, cry, and not want to put this book down! One of the most heartwarming books I've read in a long time.

I thought this book was a wonderfully fun read. The characters seemed real and had real issues -- even the imaginary ones! The storyline was so much fun, and I had no idea how this one was going to turn out. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, so I'll just say that I loved how Ahern pulled out a happy ending, even though the characters did not necessarily get what they thought they wanted. This book was my first of Ahern's and has got me wanting more of her wit and humor.

Charming and a little different - go on an adventure with straight-laced, uptight Elizabeth as she falls in love...with her nephew's invisible friend.

This was great, so different. There's movie talk on this one, with Hugh Jackman in the main role!! Can't wait for that! This book is very different from you're typical romance novel, so be ready for that. And it's set in Ireland, which is one of my favorite places in the world (that I haven't been to yet!)

What I like about Cecelia Ahern's books is that they do not follow the typical romance formula. This was good, although a bit sad. The characters feel real and interesting, and you are never 100 percent sure where it is going to end up. I liked the concept of an imaginary friend.

Enjoyable, fun read. It's interesting to see the comments about Disney possibly making a movie of this book, because as I was reading it, I was thinking what a cute movie it would be. Interesting storyline and I could relate to the main character in her perfectionist struggles and family drama.

Oh - I really loved this one! It was more entertaining than her others and infinitely more magical. But it was much sadder too and it left some loose ends - namely, about the sister, and the main character's own future. If I had to describe this book to anyone, I would call it a more romantic version of _Drop Dead, Fred_ - and though the book seems like a clear deviation of it, it still managed to sparkle with originality and I would recommend it to anyone who would like a good chick lit read.
