When I started this book out, I thought it was going to be sort of silly and foolish, like a child's book, but as I read, I became more and more into this book and I couldn't stop reading! This book is quite great!!! It's about an imaginary friend and how it changes this one girl's life forever and in return, changed his life forever as well. It teaches you to believe and open your mind about everything in life. Just a great book.

Didn't think I would like this but found it to be an enjoyable read. Walt Disney Pictures has bought the rights to this novel. Interestingly enough, this author is the twenty-four year old daughter of Ireland's prime minister.

Not my favorite Ahern, but she always has a way of making you care about her characters.

A very thoughtful romp in a small town in Ireland. She is the older sister, the responsible one. She saw what her mother's flirty ways did to her father and the family, so she vowed never to be like that. Then her sister's son, who she is taking care of, has custody of, has an invisible friend. She tries to humor him, like all the experts say you should... then she meets who she thinks is the father of one of his friends... it is really his imaginary friend. He teachs her how to play and how to laugh, most importantly how to look back on her life and open some doors that have remained closed for too many years.

You would laugh, cry, and not want to put this book down! One of the most heartwarming books I've read in a long time.
