An Act of Love
This story was okay. The Lead female was a bit annoying in her role as a victim, especially with inconsistencies in her behavior. The sex scenes weren't bad, but I've definitely read better. I remember reading a previous story in the 'Secrets' series by this author after recognizing characters crossed over from that one. This one was just as unbelievable in plot, although the quickie Hollywood celebrity wedding in it is probably the most believable part.
Enslaved
This was better and more believable. The author did a fairly good job in drawing out the tension between characters. However, the ending was too easy and too predictable.
The Bodyguard
This one was a little over-the-top at times, especially with the name-dropping of various celebrities. I thought the story characters were annoying or stupid or both and thought a couple should be shot just on principal. I didn't find the sex-scenes that great either, although you could tell the author was definitely trying. But, trying ain't doing and she fell flat because there was a lack of emotion and heat. I ended up just skimming the last half of the story in hopes that one of the annoying characters would just die to make what I had read worth my time. I was mostly disappointed there as well.
The Love Slave
This was the best story in the book. It has a interesting premise that does sound a little hokey at first; a princess must choose three male slaves who will be her personal guard and may be used as she sees fit. The author does a good job making the characters believable and love scenes steamy. But I wouldn't have expected less from this writer.
