OK story, not much depth. I picked it up because I love the Sisterchicks series by this author. This series, based on the only one I've read, is not as good. Just my opinion, though.

Book #1 in the Glenbrooke series. Every one was great, though each book stands alone - connected only through common characters.

Beginning her new life in a small Oregon town, high school English teacher Jessica tries desperately to hide the details of her past. Yet two individuals remain determined to discover the painful truth: the jealous woman who is Jessica's immediate superior, and Kyle Buchanan, a handsome, compassionate paramedic and dreamer. Will Jessica's past destroy her future? Or can she find a deeper peace that will end her need to keep Secrets? Readers will find out in this bestselling former Palisades release, now the first book of the new Glenbrooke series by bestselling author Robin Jones Gunn.

This is a nice light read. No real depth, but it is a romance for goodness sake. Nice to read when tired.

Robin Jones Gunn was a new author for me.

I found her on PBS and loved this book so much I had to get the rest of the series from the library because I knew I'd never have the patience to wait to swap for them all.

The titles are each from a scripture verse. Her writing is descriptive and funny and carries a message.

I also loved book #2 Whispers; #3 Echoes; #4 Sunsets - I'm picking up the next 3: Clouds, Waterfalls and Woodlands, today. I'm sure I'll love them, too!
