Another excellent Griffin read!
This is really a good book
This is part of a series, the whole series is a great read, but I only have the 2nd in the series.
Once again, through the eyes of his fictional characters, W.E.B. Griffin allows the reader to imagine what it must have been like for 'real' people to have lived through experiences like those of Donovan, Canidy et al. I couldn't put this book down!
Mr. Griffin has solid knowledge and that special flair for the military heart and mind. Excellent series.
WEB Griffin is the best author of military fiction alive.
Washington, D.C., 1942. The OSS under FDR and "Wild Bill" Donovan, escalates its tactical war, and plunges into worldwide covert operations. With the help of Charles A. Lindberg, ace OSS pilot Richard Canidy sets up an air maneuver that will drop agents into the Belgian Congo to smuggle out uranium ore essential to the arms race. But this time, Canidy is not in the saddle; he's the backup pilot. And though he's not used to waiting for something to wrong, he knows that it will.....

If you like the Tom Clancy's, you'll probably like this one.
Golly, all those things "They" said about the CIA? Ohmygosh they're TRUE! (Gasp!) How could this happen? (How could we get so lucky is more like it.) Those of you appalled at undercover shenanigans should read this- brave men and women died for you without a whimper.
I have read all his books and they have all been excellent.
