Awesome take on human alien interactions. Not what I expected and not your usual fare. Thoughtful and compelling, I had a hard time putting it down.

Fifty years ago, a small party of aliens arrived here secretly as tourists. They became stranded. The elder generation gradually died off, leaving a few youngsters now grown to exiled adulthood.

And they look like Neanderthals.

I wasn't impressed by this book at all. I could not connect with any of the characters. There was no 'Sensawunda', even in the description of the Betasha.

Not my cup of tea at all.
