Ok of the three I've read (jemima j, Second Chance and Beach House) Beach House is by far the best. This book was solid but sometimes a little too slow for me.

so i read everything by jane green that i can get my hands on because her first book, jemima j is one of my favorite books. unfortunately after that, everything became very chick litty (lol) and a lot of fluff.
this new one was different though, and i liked it a ton. it's about a group of friends who knew each other growing up. it's been a good 15 years since they last saw each other, though each one of them remained in contact with one of the members, Tom.
Tom dies, and the group is reunited, and as they get to know each other again their lives all go dramatic changes.
it's still chick lit, but it has a bit more substance and it's not her typical book. i'm hoping that her latest book, the beach house, continues down this road.

Love Jane Green and how she draws you into her characters' lives. I didn't like this one as well as Beach House, but have experienced first hand how losing someone you love suddenly makes you re-evaluate where your life is headed and I could empathize with and relate to Holly very well.

This was the first time I've read this author. I think I will read more of her books. This was a wonderful read chronicling the lives of friends who "re-discover" each other due to the untimely death of one of their own. They are all at that "mid-life" point, which means a lot of soulsearching and life changes. Sometimes I find books with multiple main characters to be confusing, but not this one. I truly identified with, and enjoyed, all the characters and their development. Of course, one of my favorite movies of all time is The Big Chill, and this was very similar.

I enjoyed reading this book....it is a quick read and it made me think of some of my best friends in high school, and even tho we do not communicate often, when we do it's like time never passed. Great book about friendships.

This book was just Okay to me! It's about old friends reuniting after a terrorist attack which killed their friend Tom. Not my favorite Green book, but still touching.

First book I read by this author. It took awhile to get into. I was glad I stayed with it. It started picking up and then I had a hard time putting it down.

This book was absolutely hard to put down. It just kept getting better as all the lives of the friend's that came together again after a long time became intertwined. Great read.

Book was ok. Had a bit of a hard time getting into the characters at first. But once they all got to the barn together, it seemed to come together and you got more a feel of them and hoped that there'd be a happily ever after in the end. Book was OK. Not one of her best, but I liked it better than The Other Woman.

There were times when this book would get a little slow, which I didn't like. The book follows five friends after the loss of a mutual friend and shows how their lives, which were once connected (in H.S.) by that friend, are different and how the death has changed them.
Great Book! Thought it was going to be the typical "rich girl gets bored with husband" but it was really good!!!!
Jane Green is a favorite and this didn't disappoint!!!

A great read. Couldn't put it down!
this book started off slow in the beginning, but after it picked up i couldn't stop reading. had a few twists, and got really interesting after the first few chapters.
This book is good, but I think that it moves rather slowly. The main character, Holly, seems to be stuck in grief and with a husband that she apparently does not like very much. That is clear, but move on!
great book! I love Jane Green.
I really enjoyed this book. Kind of reminded me of The Big Chill, which I loved. Big ensemble cast coming together after the death of an old friend. Well written and each character had their own story.
Set in England about a group of friends who are given a second change after a close friend dies in a terrorist attack. B
Quick read...Not a bad choice to add to your beach bag this summer!
I enjoyed this book very much. Thanks again!
It is always good to be reminded that we get second chances sometimes.
I gave up halfway through, I just could not get interested and could predict the ending without reading.
