10 years early lovely Annabelle is murdered. Her husband, Marc, is the prime suspect, but there is no evidence to convict him... and so the case remains open and unsolved. Marc moves away with his young son and life goes on in Charleston... almost as if it never happened. Then, Marc returns with Court (his son) to prepare the house for sale... and to give Court a chance to learn a bit about his heritage. Dinah, Annabelle's cousin, was in the house the night she died. She saw nothing... or so she thinks... but the nightmares she has over the years play on her emotions and with the return of Marc and Court the depth of her memories is expanding. Maybe she does know something.. and if so, someone will need to stop her from fully remembering. I completely enjoyed every moment of this book and hated to see it end.
