I've read this book 3 times. It kind of changed my life. It influenced my own spirituality. It's an easy read, and just mind-boggling. I will read it again soon.

TAYLOR CALDWELL&REINCARNATION
From the DJ: One of Jess Stearn's most dramatic and provocative explorations of the hidden dimensions of man's mind, this book delves into the psychic lives of best-selling novelist Taylor Caldwell. A skeptic about reincarnation, Miss Caldwell agreed to undergo hypnosis "in the interests of setting the theory of reincarnation to rest." Yet once in a trance, she lapsed into memories of other lives and other places - lives which make fascinating narratives in their own right, places that provide the background for many of her novels, memories that suggest a wealth of experience of which she has no conscious memory or knowledge. Interesting reading!

From the back: In Search for a Soul Jess Stearn takes us on a fascinating exploration of psychic phenomena with world famous author Taylor Caldwell. Here, she relates intimate and startling details of several previous existences, of which she became aware only under hypnosis. Despite her initial skepticism, the world famous novelist allowered herself to be hypnotized and went into a series of trances in which recollections of previous existences began to surface. The "recollections" appear to be the basis for many of her novels, for they contain material of which she had no conscious knowledge.

I have recently been "turned onto" Taylor Caldwell. As I read her books (ie. Captains and The Kings) I always had the sense there was something prophetic about her writing. Being a believer in reincarnation I found this book fascinating. Whether you believe in reincarnation or not, this still makes for a great reading. offering a plausible explanation for Ms Caldwell's uncanny details in her historical novels. I only wish her books were not so hard to find these days.
