This is the first book I've read by Heather Graham, and her jumpy writing style kept pulling me out of the plot. I couldn't really connect with the characters. The plot was decent, but I think it could have delivered more than it did. All and all, it was an okay book, but not a favorite.

I like this author's romantic ghost stories so much better than her romantic mysteries. Christina is being haunted by the ghost of a cop who was killed as a serial killer. Of course, he wasn't the one doing the murders and wants his name cleared. Adam Harrison makes an appearance as he does in most of the spooky Graham tales. Really liked this one.

Christy (who is Irish) has "the gift". Not to be cliched as in other "gift" books or movies, it really plays a minor role in the story. One ghost (unless you count when the granda dies) and one seance so I was surprised when finished that the book was actually titled "The Seance" when there was such little to do with it. This is more of a whodunit style rather than a supernatural feel. It was a great read however and I can't help but wonder what theme parks she is referring to with all the extra halloween activities (Universal Orlando?) that her relatives work for.

The story basically follows the path of proving an officers (now deceased) innocence after the fact when the "interstate killings" begin to happen again with too much detail close to the original killings for it to be a copycat killer. Enter Jed, the famous author of the "fictional" writing of the interstate killer that really condemmed the fallen officer as the killer when in fact, you guessed it, there's a twist.

Great read, some fantastic characters brought in at the end but not really used as well as they could have been. Adam could have been used allot more in my opinion.

A book well worth the read.

Another great book from Graham! A group of people are trying to solve murder cases that were supposed to be solved long ago. The ghost of the accused keeps popping up to help. Finally, a seance does the trick. It's a good quick read!

A really good read! Just the right amount of the paranormal, intrigue, and romance to keep me interested and turning the pages. A welcome change after the disappointment of The Dead Room!

The Seance (Heather Graham)
Paranormal/Suspense Christina Hardy just moved into her grandmothers house after her passing. Her friends decide she needs a housewarming party. At this party they decide to have a seance, dragging out an aged Ouija board.

They summon up the spirit of Beau Kidd, the lead detective on a murder case over a decade old. Beau was found at the scene of the crime, near the victim and shot dead by his partner. some say his spirit never rested. Beau's sister Katherine, then a child never believed he was guilty. She is determined to prove her brothers innocence.

Christine, who is in doubt of her ability to make contact with the dead, soon starts to see Beau. Not sure if this is real or a dream, she starts to believe Beau is innocent.

Page turning suspense, with humor, romance, and paranormal activity, I found this to be a fun read.

Christina Hardy has ignored her psychic abilities for the last 12 years, ever since her Grandmother warned her that she had opened a door that could be dangerous. After inheriting her Grandmother's house, she moves in and discovers the ghost of a suspected serial killer is haunting her. She is afraid to tell Jed Braden - childhood friend, ex-cop and private investigator - about the ghost because he'll think she's crazy. But the murders have begun again, and the ghost is begging Christina for help to clear his name and stop the real killer. Great read.

Easy read, but not exactly a page burner, can't put it down until you finish it book. Girls murdered, serial killer, think they caught him, starts up again, blah blah blah.

To begin, I have never read anything by Heather Graham before this book. A friend suggested this book to me, and well once I started reading I could not put it down. This book has so many twists, turns and surprises. She will deffinitely leave you guessing till the very end. It was an amazing book. Now I am hooked on this author, she is a very talented writer. I finished this book in one day.

A chill falls over Christina Hardy's housewarming party when talk turns to a recent murder that has all the hallmarks of the so-called "interstate killer" murders from fifteen years before. To lighten the mood, the guests drag out an old Ouija board for a little spooky fun...and that' when things become truly terrifying.

Summoned by the Ouija board, the restless spirit of Beau Kidd, the lead detective - and chief suspect - on the original case, and he wants his name cleared. Back in the real world, cop turned writer Jed Braden is skeptical of Christina's ghostly encounters, but his police sources confurm all the intimate details of the case - her otherworldly source is reliable and the body count is growing.
