Fantastic book, fantastic series. All the books in this series are great, but it's easier to encourage you to read the entire series than to review each book

Don't ignore this series because you read Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey-Maturin or C. S. Forester's Hornblower, or Douglas Reeman's Bolitho novels. This series is different because it's about a sailor who was pressed, not someone that wanted to be an officer.

Kydd is enthusiastic, a character that you wish existed in real life whom you could meet and the book is page turner.
