The Sea of Tranquility
Author: Katja Millay
I live in a world without magic or miracles. A place where there are no clairvoyants or shapeshifters, no angels or superhuman boys to save you. A place where people die and music disintegrates and things suck. I am pressed so hard against the earth by the weight of reality that some days I wonder how I am still able to lift my feet to walk.<...  more »

This is the story of two troubled teenagers that find that maybe being alone isnt all its cracked up to be. They each have issues and for some reason are drawn to each other. Their love builds slowly. I loved how I got to witness them gradually become friends, then turn into more.

This book started out really slow for me. Once I got into it though, I really enjoyed it. It dragged a bit in the middle, I thought. It is a pretty long book and I think I was just getting impatient to get to the good parts. By the end, I was in love with both of the main characters (and one supporting character). The Sea of Tranquility is truly a beautiful young adult love story.

Holy cow, great book. Two troubled teens find each other, befriend each other and ultimately fall in love. Lots of feels, lots of tears (for me), healing and redemption.

"The Sea of Tranquility" was amazing. It's, discovering love, and healing, and redemption, and acceptance. It's real, and it's sad, and wonderful, and beautiful. This is one of those books that goes beyond rating with stars, because stars aren't enough. It is everything every story in its genre has ever tried to be. I have a new favorite book. True story.
