Many times when choosing a book of short stories, it may sound like the stories are going to be really good, but then you wind up disappointed and feeling a bit cheated. I am happy to say this was not one of them, unless you are someone that has to have all loose ends tidied up at the end.
On the back cover TJ Beitelman is quoted as saying "throughout this fine collection, he is most concerned with still another kind of secret: that which, when revealed, doesn't solve anything. Like the very best stories, they carry the mystery forward. Revelation, in the end, isn't an end at all. It's a beginning."
Most of the stories leave one imagining what happened afterward, but not disappointed that he left off where he did.

The stories may seem unrelated, but they do have common links.
Whether it is by location, or a character's name/appearance/habits, it is like a hidden riddle or puzzle to find out just how they are connected.
