Another great Ludlum book
This is one of his best!
Ludlum fans who perhaps were frustrated by the author's last three novels (e.g., The Gemini Contenders , Audio Reviews, LJ 4/1/93) have a genuine treat in store with this one. The master of international intrigue is back, make no mistake about it. The producer offers an excellent abridgment, and the story is enhanced with music and read expertly by Robert Lansing. This is a riveting, fast-moving thriller full of violence, sex, thrills, and electronic wizardry--all the things one imagines for today's terrorists and intelligence agents. The story concerns Amayra Bajaratt, a beautiful terrorist, whose goal is nothing less than death for the heads of state of England, France, Israel, and the United States. Enter Tyrrell Hawthorne, ex-naval intelligence operative recruited by British military intelligence to stop "Little Girl Blood." Recommended for all popular adult collections.
Called out of retirement after the death of his wife, the spy, Tyrell Hawthorne, to track down a terrorist.
Robert Ludlum is one of my favorite authors - he always tells a page-turning story of intrigue, and winds a romance in there too. I'm almost always still guessing about who's the bad guy until the end.
Tyrell Hawthorne was a naval intelligence officer. He was one of the best until a rainy night in Amsterdam when his wife was murdered, an innocent victim of the games spies play. How hes called out of retirement for one last assignment. For Hawthorne is the only man alive who can tract down the worlds more dangerous terrorist.
Lot of action & adventure all over the world. Hard to put down.
Racing from a millionaire's fortress to the social whirl of Palm Beach, and from the oval office to treacherous Caribbean, Tyrell Hawthorne will uncover a sinister network of well-placed men and women who exist to help the consummate killer and the shattering trut brhind the SCORPIO ILLUSION.
Racing from a millionaire recluse's fortress to the social whirl of Palm Beach, and from the Oval Office to treacherous Caribbean waters, Hawthorne will uncover a sinister network of well-placed men and women who exist to help this consumate killer. Great book!
Ludlum does another good story about the world of terrorism although it's a bit dated as it was written in 1994.
This one is about a retired commander that served the army until an incident in Amsterdam. He's called back after five years of not participating in the games spies play and he is on a hot pursuit of Amaya Bajaratt. She has plenty of connections and will do anything and everything possible to murder the president of the United States.
The plot keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. An interesting read.

As always, it is suspensful, lots of intrigue and surprises.

If you like Ludlum's story lines you will not be disappointed with this one. Hard to put down this chilling conspiracy.
