I didn't like this one as much as the first one...not sure if it was the pacing...it seemed to drag...or that the university had too many people to keep track of. That said, I did enjoy the possible love triangle, however, I hope she chooses one and doesn't vacillate between the two for the next 10 books! I will say this, the heroine didn't put herself in stupid situations, which drives me nuts, so that is a plus in my book! I do plan to read the next one.
Loved this book! I really enjoyed the first book in the series and this one was even better. Lots of questions and motives and suspects and clues throughout the book. I like how Tally gets involved with the murders and how the showdown with the killer winds up. I don't give many 5 star ratings (though I have read many 4 star books!) but I am giving this one five stars. I am bummed that there is only one more book in this series.
The book started off slow but it was still a good read.
Wendy Lyn Watson is becoming one of my favorite new cozy authors. I very much enjoyed her second installment in this Mystery a La Mode series! She actually had me suspecting the wrong person for a while, and I was delighted by just a hint of a romantic triangle forming towards the end of the story. Ms. Watson definitely has me hooked and I'm eagerly awaiting book 3!
