The Scoop was a witty, entertaining book from start to finish.
I have a couple of complaints about this book. One is a relatively mild one. The main characters are in their mid-60s, yet Ms. Michael portrays them as if they were in their eighties!! While most heroines of books today are in their 20's and 30's, the fact is, these women are not old.
My second complaint is this: I'm a full-time student and housewife. I have a lot of responsibilities. However, since picking up this book, my homework has been turned in late and my house is a mess! ;)
Seriously though, Ms. Michaels has a real winner with this new series (except for the age thing. That does annoy me a little bit and I'm only 41)! Let me put it this way: When you have characters that annoy the heck out of you because of their actions, then you know you have a great book! These women are women I would love to be friends with in real life (it's the younger generation that annoys me. Don't want to say too much). I really enjoyed the book and I'm already excited and anxious for the next installment!

Good Book
A little slow at first but I kept at it and it ended up being very good. I will keep reading the series..
Another great series by Fern Michaels.
I love the characters in this book. Each has their own personality but they seem to go together so well. I love their zest for living and looking for adventure. Well written.
I enjoyed reading The Scoop found it hard to put it down Fern michaels gets A+ recomend it to all who like a fun loving tale.
I really enjoyed all the characters in the book. Fern Michaels never disappoints me.
This was a good book , I just found the ending sorta not what I wanted I guess .. I know it opens it up to more do we have more is there a Scoop 2? I enjoyed the trouble that the girls found and the way each of them were dealing with their own issues. I just wish it went on a bit longer. Great book from F.Michaels once again
The book flows in a funny manner while you are reading it. Has quirky characters and an un-usual "Mame" like flair. But in the end, it is such a forgettable story that I ended up ordering this book twice because I had forgotten that I had read it!
Loved this continuation of the godmothers' story.
When her plan to rescue her daughter's newspaper from ruin turns dangerous, wealthy widow Teresa "Toots" Loudenberry calls on her childhood friends, the godmothers for help. First in a delightful new series.
Haven't read the book yet but found this & thought I'd post this since it had no description yet.
