The book that started it all! This is available as a free download on "The Secret" website. But, if you're like me, you like to have it right in front of you to read. Great information. Not too dated but gives common sense tips to getting rich, being well, being happy.

I listened to the whole thing only because it was short (one CD). This was published in 1910. In essence: think and grow rich, fake it till you make it, believe it has already happened, etc. This is not science as we now think of it; it is social/religious "science" of 100 years ago. The guy must have been paid by the word. The text is similar to "This is the only way to follow and the way that you must follow and if you follow, as you must, then you will see the way. The results will come only if you follow but always if you follow, and then you will see the way that comes from following." Okay, maybe it's not quite that bad. Certainly not what I was expecting. "Follow The Golden Rule and treat others as you would have them treat you and you will have the riches of the soul and the spirit...." -- Again, not a quote, but this is the sense of the book.
Might be worth your time if you like re-creating the feeling of 1910.

I had got this book at the library previously and thought to buy it. I found this particular edition of the book on PBS so I got it. I have not read this edition of the book yet, but for anyone ordering don't get this edition. It is only 112 pages and is incredibly small compared to the previous editions I've seen. It is also in large type so its probably only 30 to 50 pages if it was in smaller, normal type. So dissapointed as this is a great book, but this edition is missing so much information. It shouldn't even be listed at PBS. I think it must be some kind of guide that was part of a package purchased specially somewhere. All in all get and read this book, but don't buy this particular edition.

Even though this book was published in 1911 it's still relevant today! I read it once every 6-8 months to keep me grounded in my relationship with wealth consciousness.
