Even though done in the early 1970s, this volume contains a lot of sf discussion that's still relevant today. Includes articles by Ben Bova, Prederik Pohl, George Zebrowski, Frank Herbert, Theodore Sturgeon, Alan E. Nourse, Thomas N. Scortia, Reginald Bretnor, James Gunn, Alexei & Cory Panshin, Poul Anderson, Hal Clement, Anne McCaffrey, Gordon R. Dickson & Jack Williamson. There's an afterword on each author and a list of other critical works in the back. Of interest to students, aspiring sf writers, or anyone interested in the intersection of science and entertainment fiction.
