In my humble opinion the Is Hell series by Matt Groening is still some of his finest work. If you're getting on years you may need to employ the use of a magnifying glass though as much of writing becomes excruciatingly small at different points in the book.
reviewed School Is Hell on
This early comic from cartoon-world giant Matt Groening (creator of 'The Simpsons' and 'Futurama')is hardly visually stunning, but it's funny, honest, and charming.

This book would make a perfect gift for a high school or college student who's become frustrated at having to navigate the inadequacies of the public school system. Its messages are anything but optimistic, but they'll give the reader some much needed sympathy.

You probably won't laugh out loud while reading it. The humor lends itself more to causing smirks of agreement. Still, worth a read if you hated school.
