I received this book from the author to read and review. I read it quite quickly and it is strange to say I enjoyed it because it deals with the very beginning of a dark period of history. However, it read well and the story was compelling. I have traveled to Berlin and Munich quite often and I know and understood the German names she mentions quite frequently in this novel. I would have loved for her to put them in English because it was a glaring mistake for lyrical reading, and would stop me and make me think about where she was talking about instead of just knowing. Good story line, good read. Try it.
