I really enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I liked the characters, the bit of mystery and the talking/learning about scents and how they effect people didn't scare me off as I thought it might. In the end this book just made me feel warm and fuzzy. Just like the perfect Fall day.

A story about a young girl, her father, and the scents that we all remember.

Totally enchanting!

At first this seemed like a fairy-tale kind of novel, involving a girl growing up on an island with only her father. But the girl eventually comes into contact with the modern world and discovers family secrets hidden from her in her former isolated life.

The book is very well written and so emotionally involving that I literally stayed up for hours reading farther and farther until I couldn't fall asleep because I kept thinking about the main character's situation.
