This is the third of a trilogy, the others being 'Seduced by a Spy' and 'The Spy Wore Silk'. All of them lightly entertaining and well-written. But all three, and this one is no exception, feel watered down and pastel compared to what they could have been. The characters are interesting, but not compelling; the bad guys are bad, but you never get the sense that they are truly evil; the plot was ok, but didn't have enough depth. You get the idea. This is light reading, good for the beach or a bus or plane trip.
