I'd have given this book a "5" rating before I opened it, because I've read it before. I'm slowly but surely working my way through the Travis McGee series again; in random order. I use them as bridges between newer things I'm reading. Excellent story, excellent writing, valuable experience; "5" all the way.

#14 of the Travis McGee series. The series was written in the 1960s and 70s and remains one of the best examples of genre today-- the rough and tumble P.I. who is hard and sarcastic on the bad guys but sweet with the ladies. I got hooked on the series which all have a color in the title. You owe it to yourself to read at least one of the books from the series.
