Nowhere near as good as the first book in the series. I gave up after 60 pages because I couldn't stand the whiny, freaked out mothers. *Eyeroll*

A 135 pages into this book and it couldn't hold my interest, found myself not interested in any of the characters. Takes too long to find out what is going on!!! and therefore just not interested. Too many characters to sort out and figure out what the h--- is going on!!

Excellent follow up to Live To Tell, can't wait for the next installment...Hell To Pay.
I am shocked to see that several people didn't like this book. I wonder if they had read the first in the trilogy if they would have enjoyed it more. I LOVED this book- read it in just one day! If you read Live To Tell (about the dad who retrieves the wrong stuffed animal at the Lost and Found, getting him mixed up in the abduction of a boy), I think you will really like this book. I was able to figure out a little bit of it as I read, but there was one big surprise at the end that I really enjoyed!!
I read Live to Tell awhile back and did not realize till reading this one that this is Book 2 and that there are 3 books that connect characters. I wish I waited till I had all 3 before I read them.
1. Live to Tell
2. Scared to Death
3. Hell to Pay
This Book is about the Cavalon Family. Years ago they lost a child; he was stolen out of their backyard and killed. Now they have another Foster child and they will fight to keep this one safe.
