This book has a lot of great common-sense tips for keeping a marriage healthy, mainly revolving around communication and keeping your expectations reasonable. However, they lost me when they brought God into it in the last chapter, which disappointed me, because there wasn't a huge religious tinge to most of the book.
Still a good read, regardless of your personal religious beliefs

We worked through this book along with the workbook as a couple in a small group setting with 3 other couples- after we were married. At the beginning, there were a lot of things that were similar to what we had gone through in pre-marital counseling, but it did get into new territory quickly. I was surprised about the lack of biblical basis in the book however. There was a lot of helpful information in here that we wished we had known before we got married- I was constantly saying "that is so true, we could have avoided some conflicts if we were aware of this before" such as with "unspoken rules"-that's a big one!! This book is highly recommended to anyone (along with the workbook!)- whether you are single, just started dating, engaged, or even already married. It really changed our marriage and made us a better couple at a time we really needed it.
